The Positive Learning Climates KnowledgeBase is an online resource to aid educators in nurturing school climates conducive to learning. It is organized around five elements aimed at developing a positive learning climate.
Task 2: Become Familiar with State and Local Requirements

Guideline: In addition to federal requirements, school staff members must be familiar with applicable state laws on school safety. A conducive learning climate requires the principal to share this information with his or her staff members. The offered resource documents can help foster such an understanding.

This document offers links to each state's website of the agency responsible for children and family services.
This list from Bullypolice.org grades each state on its anti-bullying laws or lack thereof. States with anti-bullying laws are listed on the left, and those without such laws are listed on the right. In the center of the page, the criteria used to grade the laws are listed. Where available, further information concerning state laws or legislative efforts concerning bullying is provided.
