Building Bridges-Connecting Social Studies to Common Core State Standards Professional Learning Day

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Office of College and Career Readiness (OCCR) is having a Professional Learning Day on October 28, 2013. DESE OCCR key staff members and carefully selected practitioners will work to align Social Studies curriculum to Missouri's Academic Standards. Beth Ratway, Consultant from the American Institutes for Research (AIR) will be facilitating the discussion. Broader representation from DESE's OCCR staff will participate in Career and Technical Education (CTE) Curriculum Development Work Day—the third in an ongoing Professional Development series—on October 29, 2013. The C3 Missouri Technical Assistance Liaison and C3 Technical Assistance Coordinator will provide support in Jefferson City, Mo.
