Teacher Leader Standards and Certification/Licensure Guidelines

As noted at the Council of Chief State School Officers website, "the Five State Teacher Leadership Consortium was formed to develop a degree-length program to prepare teachers to successfully assume the mantle of 'teacher leader.'" The five participating states included Alabama, Delaware, Kansas, Kentucky, and Ohio. This document provides links to four of the five states' guidelines for teacher leaders. Questions about each state's program should be directed to the respective state department of education. Click on each state's name to access information about each program.
