This KnowledgeBase archive includes content and external links that were accurate and relevant as of September 30, 2019.
The OCR May 25, 1970, memorandum states "school districts have the responsibility to adequately notify national origin-minority group parents of school activities which are called to the attention of other parents. Such notice in order to be adequate may have to be provided in a language other than English."
The checklist offers a list of documents districts/schools should probably have translated into the languages other than English for the predominant national origin groups present in their area. Links to samples are provided as available.
