OU OUTREACH

COLLEGE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION

OUR MISSION

The University of Oklahoma Outreach is a lifelong learning organization dedicated to helping individuals, businesses, groups, and communities transform themselves through knowledge.

In 1957, Dr. Thurman J. White secured one of 12 grants given by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation for creating university-based residential conference centers around the world. The grant, the largest the university had received to date, was used to build the Thurman J. White Forum and other structures that collectively formed the Oklahoma Center for Continuing Education (OCCE). The Association for Continuing Higher Education and the International Association of Continuing Education Hall of Fame are housed on the OCCE campus.

BUSINESS AND ACCOUNTING OPERATIONS

This department oversees all budgets, bookkeeping, and purchasing for the various programs in Outreach.

By providing conference, meeting, and event planning services, we help agencies and organizations develop and conduct conferences.

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION

This office provides customer-service-oriented legal compliance and grant and contract administration support to all of the departments in the organization.

FORUM CONFERENCE SERVICES

Forum and Conference Services provides complete management services in planning and executing successful conferences or events for Outreach programs, OU, and local non-OU events.

HUMAN RESOURCES

Responsible for managing the overall HR operations for OU Outreach, we work with staff, supervisors, directors, and main campus HR concerning a variety of HR issues.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

IT offers a complete range of support for the various programs offered through Outreach, including hardware and software support, networking, database management, custom application development, and web services.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

Marketing and Communication manages the Outreach website and produces the annual report, newsletters for various audiences, and other publications and promotional materials.

REGISTRATION AND RECORDS

This department provides centralized admission, registration, fee collection, and record-keeping services for participants in credit and noncredit activities offered through OU Outreach.

SPONSORED PROGRAMS

We provide sponsored programs administration and compliance assurance services throughout the life cycle of OU Outreach’s externally funded grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements.

TRC is a full-support service center that provides goods and specialized services to internal university departments. We provide personalized solutions to meet customers’ diverse requirements.
